A Working Class Act was born to bridge the gap between the disparately of working class creatives in the professional industry. Our vision is for working-class creatives both in front of and behind the camera to have equal opportunities to develop, be seen, and succeed, regardless of background, finances, or personal connections. We envision a creative community where talent is not limited by economic barriers, and where diverse working-class voices actively shape the stories told on stage and screen. The creative industry is at its lowest level in a decade 8% of working-class actors are in the industry. A working-class act will provide inclusive, structured environments where participants can develop skills, build professional networks, and access opportunities that are otherwise financially or socially inaccessible.
